“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith…” (Hebrews 12:2 NIV)
In order to accomplish something, we got to be focused. If we are going to jump from one thing to another often, nothing is going to be accomplished.
The Scripture exhorts us to fix our eyes on Jesus. That means, we are to focus on Jesus more than anything else.
Yes, there are works to be done, responsibilities to be taken care of and deadlines to be met. However when priority is been given to Jesus more than anything else, God does wonders in our lives!
To share a personal story as example, for the past many years, my wife Ancy and I have not been living on a payroll. We have been ministering and doing what the Lord has called us to do. And He takes care of us so wonderfully and meets our needs!
The reason I say this is because sometimes it is so easy to lose focus. It may happen because of several reasons including financial pressure, relational issues or total burnout. I know what I am talking about because I’d been there.
The good news is Jesus loves to restore us! He loves to bring us back to His Presence, fellowship and call. He takes great pleasure in us. He rejoices as we rejoice again.
Today, if you are going through a dry or confused situation, cheer up! God has the answer that you are trying to find out. He has the solution that you are trying to work out.
Come back to Jesus. Put your focus back on Jesus. Let Him fill you with hope and healing. Let His Presence pervade you. Let His power empower you. Get ready for a new beginning!
