POWER OF GOD’S PRESENCE

I am always aware of the Lord’s presence; he is near, and nothing can shake me – (Psalm 16:8)

A person who recognizes God’s presence in his life is truly blessed. It doesn’t matter what he faces or goes through, He knows that God is with him!

One of the famous Old Testament personalities, Joseph, is a good example (Genesis 37 – 47). From a very young age, he started having encounters with God in the form of dreams. Though some in his own family did not like this ‘dream thing’, Joseph recognized God’s abiding presence in his life.

He went through some real bad situations from his family as well as foreigners. He experienced trials and triumphs. Whether in the pit, prison, Potiphar’s place or palace, all along, Joseph was aware that God was with him.

Recognizing God’s abiding presence in your life has great benefits. It will help you live with an attitude of confidence regardless of what you face daily. It will also motivate you to live clean and be all that God has called you to be.

Are you shaken because of something you are facing right now? One of the best solutions is to run to God and pour out your heart to Him. Spend some time in His Word (Bible). As you do, you will sense God’s presence around you! And that will break shakiness and produce confidence.

Positive thinking and motivating talks alone have only limited value. But when you spend quality time with the heavenly Father, you become aware of His presence and love surrounding you. Then you will be flooding with positive thoughts! Then you will be motivated to accomplish remarkable things!

Jesus has promised us that He will be with us day in and day out (Matthew 28:20). Still, it is when you spend time with Him in prayer and Word that you become aware of His Presence. And that releases pure confidence to face the future!

So believe in the immense power of God’s presence in our day-today life.

CHEER UP. GOD IS NOT AGAINST YOU!

Often, when facing challenges, many sense their confidence oozing out. They feel like God has left them alone. They start thinking about all the wrong things they have done (for which they have already repented!). They start complaining, “Why is God doing this to me?”

But the truth is that God is a good God. He is not the source of problems. He is a gracious God. He is willing to help anyone who asks Him for help. He is ready to shower His blessings upon our lives every day.

The place where God sits is called ‘the throne of grace’. That is what we read in Hebrew 4:16 “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” The word ‘grace’ is found many times in the Bible. God the Father sent His only begotten Son Jesus to this world to reveal His grace. Because of His grace, everyone can attain salvation for free. And just like salvation, all of God’s blessings are free for us!

Blessings are not determined by the amount of your work. Though you need to do acts of faith, nevertheless, if you start comparing your blessings with your works, you miss the whole point. It is in His great love that God blesses our lives with good things. He loves to cheer us up!

So, the next time you sense the confidence level going down, and is tempted to ask the question “Why is God doing this to me?”, boldly go to the throne of grace and simply ask God! Do not lose your confidence in the Lord when trouble comes.

God knows your strengths and weaknesses. He never wants His children to live a low life. Yet He cannot agree with self-righteousness and religious mindsets!

Enjoy God’s blessings by His grace. You will have a joyful and peaceful life on this earth. Do not listen to the lies of the devil. You are chosen by God to lead a guilt-free life!
